Sisters Hospital Foundation presents an “All-American Evening in Black & White” on Saturday, April 21 at the Connecticut Street Armory starting at 6 p.m.
The gala event, which features a 1940’s USO theme commemorating the 70th anniversary of the opening of St. Louise de Marillac Maternity Hospital on the present site of Sisters of Charity Hospital, will benefit the nurseries at Sisters Hospital. The event is sponsored by Buffalo Neonatology Associates P.C. and is chaired by Parkside Medical Anesthesia, P.C.
The Connecticut Street Armory will be transformed into a 1940’s USO supper club, complete with vintage lamps and an All-American menu, featuring a red apple signature drink and a pie bar with an assortment of American favorites. Numerous corporate sponsors, physicians, and friends comprise the guest list of over 400, who will begin the evening with basket and silent auction raffles during cocktails. Master of Ceremonies Peter O’Connell will start the evening’s program prior to a five-course gourmet dinner.
Eric Monahan of Cash Realty will serve as guest auctioneer during the evening’s second course, featuring signature items and unique trips. This year’s gala entertainment will showcase Buffalo’s own “The Pyramid Band,” providing big-band era swing music and entertaining after-dinner dance music.
Tickets for the “Pick Your Dream Vacation” raffle – A trip for four to Waikiki Beach Hawaii or an Alaskan Cruise for four– may be purchased for $100. Participants need not be present to win.
Tickets for the Black and White Ball are $250 per person. A limited number of individual tickets are still available.
Donations are also being accepted. All proceeds benefit the hospital’s continued commitment to serve all patients, from all walks of life, who receive healthcare at Buffalo’s first hospital.
