3rd Annual Autumnal Benefits Mercy’s Neonatal ICU
September 17, 2011
Over 175 people gathered for the 3rd Annual Mercy Hospital Foundation Autumnal to help raise funds for the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
Held at the Roycroft Inn in East Aurora on November 11, the event was chaired by Former U.S. Congressman and Erie Community College President Jack Quinn and his wife, Mary Beth.
Six-year-old Grace Koncikowski of Blasdell, who held a lemonade stand last summer and raised $75 for the NICU, attended the Autumnal as a special guest with her parents Mark and Jeanette Koncikowski. A former Mercy NICU patient herself, the young philanthropist, kicked off the program with a few remarks and her suggestions on "how easy it is to raise money." Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon also presented a proclamation to Grace to recognize her generous and thoughtful efforts.
Following a cocktail reception and gourmet dinner stations, guests enjoyed a concert by O’Connell & Company featuring music of the 1930s and 1940s.
