Kenmore Mercy Hospital, a member of Catholic Health, is expanding its primary care services into Amherst with the opening of the Williamsville Primary Care Center located at 400 International Drive. The new physician practice, which offers Internal Medicine and Family Practice Services, welcomes new patients beginning August 2.

The Williamsville site will offer a variety of primary care services including routine check-ups and wellness/preventative exams, school and work physicals, same-day sick visits, and clinical monitoring of chronic medical conditions. Patients looking for a new primary care physician can call the center to schedule an appointment.

Howard Sperry, MD, MPH, FACP, and Suchitra Koneru, MD, medical director of the new center, will be relocating their medical practice from Catholic Health’s Clarence Sheridan Medical Center, which is closing July 30, to the Williamsville site.

Dr. Howard Sperry and Dr. Suchitra Koneru“Located just a few miles from our Clarence location, the new center features larger, more modern facilities and other special services to enhance care for our adult patients,” said Dr. Sperry. “Our goal is to make the Williamsville Primary Care Center as comfortable and convenient as possible for our patients.”

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Sperry is Associate Chairman of the Department of Medicine at Sisters of Charity, St Joseph Campus and a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo. A Western New York native, Dr. Koneru is board-certified in Family Medicine.

In addition to primary care services, the site also houses Kenmore Mercy’s Williamsville Diagnostic Center, which includes a laboratory service center for blood work and other specimen collection and advanced Radiology services including ultrasound, X-Ray and MRI. Free parking is also available.

The center accepts most major health insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.
