Ken-Ton FamilyCare, a division of Kenmore Mercy Hospital, welcomes several new primary care physicians to its staff, rounding out its team of healthcare professionals that can treat every member of the family at all stages of life.

Joining the staff are Semira Khawar, MD, and Nadezhda Polataiko, MD, formerly of Kenmore Mercy’s Riverside Blackrock FamilyCare Center, which closed in February.

They join family care physicians Qamrunnisa Rahman, MD, and Ayesha Z. Butt, MD, and pediatrician Avtar S. Samra, MD, at the Ken-Ton site.

Dr. Khawar completed her medical education at the Fatima Jinnah Medical College for Women and a residency in family medicine at Niagara Falls Memorial. Dr. Polataiko, who serves as medical director for Kenmore Mercy’s Primary Care Division, completed her medical education at Lviv Institute of Medicine in Lviv, Ukraine and specializes in internal medicine.

Ken-Ton FamilyCare provides a full range of primary care services including adult, pediatric, OB-GYN and family medicine. In addition to plenty of free parking, it also offers podiatry services, a lab collection site, and a new wound center opening soon.

With the addition of the new physicians and expanded space, Ken-Ton FamilyCare is able to serve patients from the Riverside/Blackrock center and new patients who may be looking for a primary care physician. Treating a wide variety of patients, Ken-Ton FamilyCare also serves a large population of foreign speaking patients.

Several of the physicians are multilingual, speaking such diverse languages as Ukrainian, Russian, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi, Bingoli, Pakistani and Arabic.
