Catholic Health to Present Free Program on Knee and Hip Replacement
January 4, 2010
Are you contemplating a knee or hip replacement? Catholic Health Partners In Rehab/AthletiCare will present a free evening program, “Is Total Knee or Hip Replacement in your Future,” on Tuesday, January 12 at 7 p.m. at its Nazareth Campus facility located at 291 North Street in Buffalo.
According to the National Institute of Health, arthritis is responsible for more trouble walking and climbing stairs, and is the most common indicator for joint replacement surgery. Licensed physical and occupational therapists present this pre-operative program and give you an overview of the total knee or hip replacement surgery and also what to expect during the recovery phase and rehabilitation process.
This program is free and open to all. Registration is required. For more information or to register, call Catholic Health's HealthConnection at (716) 706-2112.
