Lifting Spirits for Holy Week

St. Joseph Hospital and Meals on Wheels are teaming up to lift the spirits of elderly residents and shut-ins throughout the community by delivering specially prepared gift bags just in time for the Easter holiday. St. Joseph Hospital associates are donating 200 filled bags and Meals on Wheel employees are donating another 90 bags to ensure that their clients in Cheektowaga receive a gift bag along with their daily meal delivery.

Sister Maureen Boyle will bless the brightly colored bags, which contain fresh plants and flowers, small gifts, books, toiletries and other personal care items, before they make their way to homes throughout the community.

The bags will be delivered on Monday, March 30, 2009.
