Kenmore Mercy recently named Sister Ellen McClure, OSF, as Vice President of Mission Integration. In her new role, Sister Ellen is responsible for the mission, ethics, spiritual care and community benefit functions of the organization and in promoting and integrating the mission, vision and values of daily life in the hospital.
She brings a unique background in mission work coupled with nursing experience. She was Vice President for Mission and Ministry at St. Francis Health System in Pittsburgh and served in Honolulu, Hawaii before coming to Kenmore Mercy.
Sister Ellen earned two Masters Degrees, one in Community and Agency Counseling from California University of Pennsylvania and another in Theology from Providence College. She also received certification from St. Francis School of Nursing and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Marquette University. McClure has completed further graduate study in human services supervision at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Currently a resident of the Saint Mary's of the Angels Convent of Perpetual Adoration in Williamsville, NY, Sister Ellen is a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of Millvale, an order which traces their origins to Saint John Neumann, fourth Bishop of Philadelphia.
