Governor David Paterson has announced that Catholic Health will receive grants totaling $10.2 million under the State’s Health Care Efficiency and Affordability Law for New Yorkers (HEAL NY). The grant awards will be used to enhance programs and facilities throughout Catholic Health including emergency, primary care, along with care to the elderly.
“We are extremely pleased with the Governor’s announcement and what it will mean for our patients and clinical staff who work hard each day to provide the highest quality care,” said Joseph McDonald, President & CEO of Catholic Health. “These grants will help us continue to redesign healthcare delivery in our region and make further improvements to expand access and enhance quality. We are grateful to Governor Paterson and New York State Health Commissioner Richard F. Daines for recognizing the important role we play in improving the health of our community.
